FAQs

Where do you ship to?
We ship anywhere in Europe where there are no shipping restrictions or regulations. We use standard Royal Mail delivery services.

How long will my delivery take?
We process orders within 2-4 business. We use DHL and Royal Mail for deliveries and will notify you when your package is shipped.

What if my product is faulty or arrives broken?
We offer a standard 1-year warranty. If your product arrives damaged, please take photos, and we will aim to ship a replacement as soon as possible. All our products are wrapped and packaged securely to avoid damage during transit destruction. If the product becomes faulty, please get in touch with us before shipping it back for repair.

How soon does the device work from install?
Your environment sensor is ready to use right away, along with our free LightFi Air app available on the iOS App Store and Google Play Store. The CO2 sensor auto-calibrates every 7 to 9 days while continuously powered. If initially your CO2 readings stay high, even when exposed to outdoor air, please keep the device powered continuously for up to 9 days until the next auto-calibration event.

What do the different light colours represent?
Our sensors have red-amber-green LED light that reflect the level of CO2 in your air.
a. Red is poor, meaning your indoor CO2 levels are high, specifically 1,400ppm or above. Research from Harvard has shown that cognitive ability reduces by as much as 50% at 1,400ppm, and concentration gets even more difficult with higher CO2 levels. We recommend you open a window or increase your ventilation to get it back to green.
b. Amber is medium, with CO2 levels between 950ppm and 1,400ppm. Even at 950ppm your cognitive function in complex tasks can reduce by 15%.
c. Green is good, with CO2 levels below 950ppm.
Breathing directly onto your sensor will keep the light red, please ensure it is at least 1 meter away from you.

Why should I care about my indoor air quality?
High CO2 levels negatively impact your ability to concentrate and be productive. There are numerous studies from Harvard on the effects of high CO2 levels on cognitive functioning. CO2 levels are also a good proxy to detect risk from airborne infections such as COVID. [link to article or case study]

How can I see the live CO2 and PM2.5 values?
You can download the free LightFi Air app to see the live readings. Please note the app or device itself is not setup to record historic data. We recommend using it with Home Assistant.

How can I record historic data?
The device or LightFi Air app does not record historic data. The device emits beacons every 10 seconds, and we recommend using it with Home Assistant to setup continuous monitoring or automation routines (requires 3rd party hardware)

How do I use Home Assistant to setup data monitoring?
For those that are curious we’ve written a short guide to help you get started with Home Assistant. [write article with links and things, including disclaimer that requires 3rd party hardware, is not an endorsement or may get out of date as updates are released]
